At the 7th IRU Euro-Asian Road Transport Conference, Ministerial Meeting and 2nd Co-ordination Meeting of International Organisations and Financial Institutions, transport ministers, and representatives of international organizations and financial institutions, called on governments to help drive regional and intercontinental trade via key UN multilateral trade and facilitation instruments.

The IRU Amman Conference Declaration, unanimously adopted by all participants at the conference, calls for governments to specifically adopt the UN instruments such as TIR and Harmonization Conventions, including the IRU's risk management applications, namely Real Time SafeTIR(RTS) and TIR Electronic Pre-Declaration (TIR-EPD), in order to reduce border waiting times.

In general, conference attendees agreed it’s crucial to strengthen road transport linkages between the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa and for governments and financial institutions to contribute to these improvements.
