Terex South Dakota Inc. is recalling 118 2012-2013 model-year aerial devices and digger derricks manufactured September 2012 through February 2013.
The lock valve cavity in the outrigger cylinder may have been machined incorrectly, leaving the seals damaged. Damaged seals may allow the outrigger to drift, which could affect stability and risk overturning, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.
Terex dealers will inspect the affected outriggers to determine if they were machined correctly. The inspection and any necessary repairs will be performed free of charge.
