The new Nissan March, the first Nissan to be built on a platform jointly developed with Renault, is said to be considered for the U.S. market in 2004 or 2005. The March, which is sold in Europe as the Micra, will share its platform with the next-generation Renault Clio. The manufacturer is said to be looking at a price-point below $10,000. The Micra is offered in Europe with 1L, 1.2L, and 1.4L gasoline engines, and a 1.5L diesel. Its major competitor in the U.S. would be the Toyota Echo.
