Indian carmaker Maruti Suzuki has launched the newly redesigned Next-Gen Ertiga MPV, marking the tenth anniversary of the model’s original introduction in the country.

Now available in Maruti Suzuki’s ARENA showrooms, the seven-passenger Next-Gen Ertiga is powered by an all-new Next-Gen K-series 1.5L dual jet, dual VVT engine with progressive smart hybrid technology. The model also features an all-new advanced six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

“Ertiga’s launch 10 years ago was a significant moment in the Indian automobile industry, as it created a new segment that has been growing at a CAGR of 4.7%. With a decade-long legacy, the country’s first compact MPV Ertiga has a special place in the Indian automobile industry, said Hisashi Takeuchi, CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

Offering improved fuel-efficiency, the Next-Gen Ertiga comes with advanced connected car technology – Suzuki Connect and the SmartPlay Pro Touch Screen Infotainment System. The MPV’s S-CNG model is available in the Vxi and Zxi variants. A new Zxi+ variant has also been introduced with an option of advanced six-speed automatic transmission in Next-Gen Ertiga petrol variant.
