VinFast debuted its EV-only brand to the U.S. market at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show where it unveiled two all-new electric SUV/CUV models. VinFast will assemble future EVs in the U.S. at a brand-new plant it is building in North Carolina.
The move is part of the Ford+ plan and will generate 1,250 new jobs and focus on the next-generation Ford Ranger pickup and Ford Everest SUV vehicles.
The plan hopes to boost Geely Auto Group Sales to over 3.6 million units, outlines an electrical and sustainable future, and teases BEV, HEV, and long-range PHEV models with ranges up to 200 km. The plan also hopes to reduce total emissions by 25% by 2025 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2045.
