Ford Recalls F-150 for Driveshaft Issue
Nearly 185,000 Ford 2021-2022 F-150s are under recall because underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft and cause it to fracture.

Ford Motor Company is recalling an estimated 184,698 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles for a driveshaft issue. Specifically, underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.
This is a hazardous situation as a fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. In addition, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the likelihood of a crash.
To fix the problem, dealers will inspect and repair the driveshaft as necessary, and properly attach the underbody insulators, at no cost to owners.
