Nissan Announces 2022 Maxima, Altima Pricing

The MY-2022 Nissan Maxima sedan MSRP starts at $37,240, while the Altima starts at $24,550.

Nissan Announces 2022 Maxima, Altima Pricing

The 2022 Altima brings with it  the choice of two powertrains, front-wheel or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and five grade levels.

The 2022 Nissan Altima is available now with a starting MSRP of $24,550 for the entry-level Altima S FWD grade, the manufacturer announced on Nov. 19. And, the 2022 Nissan Maxima is available with a starting MSRP of $37,4201 for the entry-level SV grade.

The Altima is offered with a choice of two engines, front-wheel or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and five grade levels.

Standard on all grade levels is a 2.5L DOHC inline 4-cylinder direct injection engine rated at 188 horsepower, while the optional 2.0-liter VC-Turbo inline 4-cylinder is rated at 236 horsepower. Both engine configurations come equipped with a standard Xtronic transmission. Paddle shifters are available with the Altima SR grade. Other available features include ProPILOT Assist, Apple CarPlay integration and Android Auto, and Nissan Safety Shield 360 and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning.

For 2022, a Midnight Edition package with "black-out" exterior trim is available on the Altima SR grade (2.5L models only). The package includes LED fog lights, heated front seats, 2-way driver power lumbar, single panel moonroof, gloss black painted sport grille, gloss black painted spoiler, Satin black Midnight Edition badge, gloss black painted 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and black painted heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators.

The 2021 Maxima was awarded best overall model in J.D. Power's 2021 Initial Quality Study.

Meanwhile, Nissan's flagship sedan, the Maxima, is available in SV, SR, and Platinum grades.

For the 2022 model year, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat exterior finish replaces the previous Carnelian Red Tintcoat, and the Maxima Platinum grade adds standard heated rear seats.

Standard content includes leather-appointed seats, Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation and NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM. Every Maxima also comes equipped with standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 and a 300-horsepower 3.5L DOHC 24-valve V6 engine and Xtronic transmission.
