Michigan State Goes Electric with Ford’s Zero-Emissions 2021 Mustang Mach-E SUV Pilot Program

To lead a sustainable charge in American police fleet vehicles, Ford has submitted an all-electric police pilot vehicle based on the 2021 Mustang Mach-E SUV for testing as part of the Michigan State Police 2022 Model Year Evaluation. The testing took place in Sept. 18 and 20, and Ford hopes a positive response will be the first notch in a long series of purpose-built electric police vehicles in the future. The demand for sustainable police vehicles has grown worldwide and Ford has committed more then $30 billion toward electrification through 2025.

The introduction of the 2021 Mustang Mach-E SUV comes hot on the heels of a similar Mach-E police concept car introduce in the United Kingdom earlier this month.
