Schneider Logistics Inc., a provider of technology-based logistics services and supply chain management, has signed a multi-year contract with World Kitchen Inc., a global producer of kitchen houseware products, to provide full freight management for U.S. and Canadian operations. Under the agreement, Schneider Logistics will manage key aspects of World Kitchen’s product shipment and delivery operations. Schneider Logistics will manage the nearly 1 million shipments World Kitchen makes throughout North America each year. Through supply chain engineering solu-tions and its SUMIT suite of logistics applications, Schneider Logistics will provide transportation management, carrier management, freight payment, cargo claims, performance reporting, and systems customization. And by creating full freight visibility across all modes, Schneider Logistics’ routing tools will be implemented to provide optimal carrier selection. To service World Kitchen’s needs, a 15-person freight management team will be located at Schneider Logistics’ headquarters in Green Bay, and on-site logistics analysts will co-locate at World Kitchen’s Greencastle, PA, and Monee, IL, distribution centers.
