Wheels Conducts First-Ever Online Training Seminars
Wheels held its first-ever online training seminar for fleet manager clients on the use of FleetView, its Internet-enabled fleet management system. Two separate one-hour training seminars took place over the Internet on Oct. 11, 2000. There were more than 170 participants for both Web seminars. Participants ranged from fleet managers, CFOs, CIOs, and VPs of purchasing. Seminar participants viewed the training session from their desktop computers and listened to the instructions either through their computer speakers or in a toll-free telephone conference call. Among the topics covered were different FleetView features, ordering enhancements, and reporting functions. Also included was an interactive question-and-answer session. Wheels is planning to conduct future online training seminars, said Carolyn Tarrant, marketing and communications director for Wheels. “Some of the topics being considered are remarketing, manufacturer changes to fleet vehicles, the state of the fleet industry, and lease vs. own vs. reimbursement,” she said.
