Wheels Inc. and its global partner ALD Automotive have announced a partnership with Shouqi Car Rental & Leasing (Shouqi) in China as part of their strategy to increase coverage in Asia.
Wheels-ALD will partner with Shouqi in providing automotive leasing and fleet management services to global corporations in China, according to a release from Wheels.
The partnership includes cross referrals, common participation to global fleet tenders, comprehensive fleet services such as fuel provision, insurance, accident management; and overall support including transparent commercial terms and global fleet reporting using the ALDNet.com platform.
This new global alliance allows Wheels-ALD clients to access 13 additional countries, representing 56 countries overall, through a network of coordinated partnerships, according to the companies.
“Shouqi is a reliable and client-focused fleet management provider with a strong presence in China. We are delighted to welcome them into the Alliance,” said Dan Frank, president and CEO of Wheels. “Maintaining coverage in China as we expand our reach across Asia ensures seamless service for our global clients.”
ALD is currently present in Asia through its subsidiary in India, where it has provided full-service leasing and fleet management services for more than a decade. In December 2019, ALD’s total fleet amounted to 1.76 million vehicles managed worldwide with a direct presence in 43 countries.
“As a leading player in the market, Shouqi is well positioned to provide good quality full service leasing services for our global clients in China while offering a comprehensive suite of mobility solutions, tailored advice and consistent reporting solutions,” said Tim Albertsen, Chief Executive Officer of ALD.
Recently ALD and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company Limited announced the establishment of their first joint venture company in Malaysia, as well as a partnership agreement with Mitsubishi Auto Leasing Corporation to provide automotive leasing and fleet management services to global corporations in Japan, as part of a joint South East Asian strategy.
