Fleets interested in switching to natural gas can take advantage of an all new, free Westport demonstration program, announced at APTA Expo. “Drive Now with CNG,” for fleets interested in the Westport WiNG Power System Ford Transit Van, gives the experience and benefits of operating on compressed natural gas (CNG).
“From coast-to-coast, fleets are saving thousands of dollars on their operating costs by taking advantage of lower-cost natural gas,” said Paul Shaffer, Westport Dallas vice president. “Westport’s new Transit Van demo program will enable companies to see first-hand the benefits of CNG for their business.”
U.S. fleets from across the country will have the opportunity to put the Westport powered Transit Van through its paces in regular business service for up to three weeks.
The Transit van is offered with a gaseous prep 3.7L V-6 engine at 10,000 GVW and below, Westport noted. Choose from three different van lengths and heights with a 12 passenger seating minimum. EPA and CARB certification are pending.
As a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier, the original Ford warranty remains intact, according to the company. To take advantage of the Drive Now with CNG, demo program please contact: fordsales@westport.com
