WardsAuto has revealed the winners of its 10 Best UX competition, which evaluates vehicles based on user-friendliness and effectiveness of the vehicle’s technologies and features
WardsAuto has revealed the winners of its 10 Best UX competition, which evaluates vehicles based on user-friendliness and effectiveness of the vehicle’s technologies and features.
The winning vehicles are the Audi Q7, BMW 7-Series, Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Escape, GMC Acadia, Honda Ridgeline, Hyundai Elantra, Infiniti Q50, Lexus RX, and Mercedes E-Class, according to WardsAuto.
Twenty-nine vehicles were evaluated by the publication’s editors with points awarded for easy smartphone integration, simplified controls, driver assistance technology, and how appealing the materials are as a component of the user experience.
"We're paying close attention to touchscreens, navigation systems and infotainment, and we want to know if voice controls work well and if connecting your smartphone is simple," said Drew Winter, WardsAuto senior content director. "We're trying to quantify how easy it is overall to interact with a vehicle."
The winning models will be honored at the WardsAuto UX Conference, Oct. 4.
