As Hurricane Dorian prepares to hit Florida, Uber and Lyft are offering residents discounts to those trying to get to hurricane shelters, News 7 Miami reports.
Through a partnership with United Way and 211s, Lyft announced a promo code — DORIANRELIEF —that will give customers two free rides up to $15 to local shelters.
Under the same promo code, Uber riders can access free trips — up to $20 each way — to and from state approved evacuation shelters. The code is good for two round trips.
