Truck drivers in several Iran provinces are on strike over low wages, a movement which first began in May.
A semi-official news agency in Iran reported the strike on May 23, according to the Associated Press. The strike is taking place in provinces of Fars, Hormozgan, Isfahan, Kerman, Khorasan Razavi, Lorestan and Qazvin, and began as a reaction to driver's complaining their wages are not enough to cover their expenses, according to VOA News.
