Toyota has expanded its SUV line-up in South Africa with introduction of the Rush, a subcompact SUV that is in its second generation.
The Toyota Rush is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder DOHC engine, with outputs of 103 horsepower and 100 lb.-ft. of torque, according to the automaker. The engine utilizes Toyota’s VVT-i system to boost efficiencies for the vehicle. It is available in five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic transmission.
The Rush is roughly 174 inches long and 66.7 inches wide. It also has a wheelbase of 105.7 inches.
Safety features for the Rush include vehicle stability control, anti-lock braking system, and hill assist control. Also available are integrated reverse camera and park distance control capabilities and six airbags, according to Toyota. Other features include a touchscreen infotainment system, that features Bluetooth, USB and Android Auto Plus Show/Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Pricing for the manual transmission model is priced at $22,574, and with an automatic transmission it is available for $23,598.
