Switzerland Fleet Registrations Decline in February
Fleet registrations in Switzerland continued to decline in February 2019, after also posting a dip in registrations to start the year.

Slightly fewer than 4,500 passenger cars were registered to companies in February. So, after a weak start to 2019, true fleets had another drop, this time by 13.5% when compared to February 2018.

Fleet registrations in Switzerland continued to decline in February 2019, after also posting a dip in registrations to start the year.
Slightly fewer than 4,500 passenger cars were registered to companies in February, according to a report from Dataforce. So, after a weak start to 2019, true fleets had another drop, this time by 13.5% when compared to February 2018.
The No. 1 automaker in February, with regards to fleet registrations, was Skoda with a 7% increase compared with the same time last year, according to Dataforce. The automaker has also dominated the market year to date.
This was followed by Volkswagen in second place with a 15.5% growth, while BMW was in third place despite a 19.8% drop in the fleet market.
The Skoda Octavia sedan was the most registered fleet vehicle, but was still down by more than 12% compared to last year.
In the utility segment, the VW Transporter was once again the strongest driver of growth within this segment, while the Peugeot Partner and the Ford Transit Custom by also managed to increase their registrations in February.
Meanwhile, short-term rental registrations also fell by 6.9% and only registrations on dealership/ manufacturers were positive, increasing by 27.7%.
