NORTHBROOK, IL - Drivers in Los Angeles and Philadelphia are among the most accident-prone in America, according to the results of Allstate Insurance Company's sixth annual "Allstate America's Best Drivers Report." The report ranks America's 200 largest cities in terms of car collision frequency to identify which cities have the safest drivers, according to Allstate claim data.
Drivers in U.S. cities with populations of one million-plus are more likely than the national average to experience a collision, according to Allstate. Among cities with a population of more than 1 million, Los Angeles and Philadelphia experienced the most frequent collisions at 6.9 years (L.A.) and 6.5 years (Philadelphia). In contrast, motorists in Phoenix topped the list in the category, making them the safest big city commuters.
