Spain Fleet Registrations Grow 16.1% — Peugeot had a particularly strong showing in May, jumping up three spots from the previous month, to claim the No. 3 spot in the month. Toyota followed as the fourth-best performing brand in May, thanks in large part to the strength of its Prius Plus hybrid.

The True Fleet Market in Spain experienced 16.1% growth in registrations through May 2018, according to a report from Dataforce.

The true fleet market includes all registrations to companies, excluding certain categories such as short-term rental and demo vehicles.

In terms of brand performance, Volkswagen and Renault respectively ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 best-performing brands through the month.

Peugeot had a particularly strong showing in May, jumping up three spots from the previous month, to claim the No. 3 spot in the month. Toyota followed as the fourth-best performing brand in May, thanks in large part to the strength of its Prius Plus hybrid.

Audi and Mercedes claimed the No. 5 and 6 spots, respectively, followed by the Spanish OEM SEAT, which owed much of its success to its Arona and Ateca models, according to Dataforce data.

BMW, Opel, and Ford ranked at No. 8, 9, and 10, respectively.

The small car segment was up 16% in Spain during May, with the majority of this growth originating from Madrid.

In May, Madrid accounted for 53.4% of all small car true fleet market registrations, while growth-wise, the region accounted for 66.4% of small-car growth in the first five months of 2018.
