South Carolina Capital to Tap Used Turkey Cooking Oil for Biodiesel
COLUMBIA, SC – City officials in Columbia, S.C., are asking local residents who plan to deep-fry their Thanksgiving turkey to save the used cooking oil and drop it off later at the city’s Public Works facility. Midlands Biofuels will use that used oil to make biodiesel that will help fuel the city’s fleet.

The program has been dubbed “Southern Fried Fuel.”
