Signaling the start of an entire new range of all-electric LCV, French auto manufacturer Renault has updated versions of two of its vans: the Kangoo Van E-TECH Electric and the Master E-TECH Electric 52 kWh.
Both updated vans boast increased driving range. The Kangoo Van E-TECH Electric provides up to 186 miles (300km). Renault's large electric van, the all-new Master Van E-TECH Electric, has been given a brand-new 52-kWh battery, increasing range up to 124 miles (200km).
The Kangoo model is powered by a new 45-kWh lithium-ion battery, composed of eight independent and easily repairable modules, according to the manufacturer. The batteries are guaranteed for eight years or just under 10,000 miles (160,000 km) and are replaced free of charge if their capacity degrades to less than 70% of their nominal value.
The all-new Master Van E-TECH Electric, available in 2024, features the energy-efficient electric motor with a power of 57 kW (76 HP equivalent). The large van will be offered in 15 versions with a choice of three different lengths and three different heights.
The Master Van’s full-electric version boasts the same cargo space as its ICE counterpart with one of the largest storage volumes in its category. Interior features and safety systems also echo those current in the ICE versions.
