Price of Gasoline Rises for 11th Straight Week
The national average price of gasoline climbed 3.2 cents to $3.683 per gallon, according to federal data released by the Energy Information Administration.

The national average price of gasoline climbed 3.2 cents to $3.683 per gallon, according to federal data released by the Energy Information Administration.
The price of gasoline has now risen for 11 consecutive weeks partly due to the increasing cost of ethanol, which is blended into all U.S. gasoline to some degree. Gasoline now costs 14.7 cents more than it did a year ago.
During the week, gasoline prices rose in all nine U.S. regions tracked by the EIA. Gasoline costs at least $3.50 per gallon in 36 of the 50 states, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Meanwhile, the cost of diesel fuel rose 1.9 cents to $3.971 per gallon. Diesel now costs 8.4 cents more than it did a year ago.
