Porsche will produce a four-cylinder Macan crossover SUV for the Asia markets and has begun taking orders for the vehicle in the United Kingdom, reports GT Sprint.
The entry-level compact SUV will be known simply as the Porsche Macan and slot in below the Macan S and Macan Turbo models set to arrive in the U.S. in June. Porsche is also developing a diesel varient and plug-in hybrid model.
The Porsche Macan will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that delivers 237 horsepower. Porsche is also developing four-cylinder engines for the next generation of Cayman and Boxster vehicles.
