PHH Vehicle Management Services Becomes PHH Arval
PHH Vehicle Management Services, a member of Avis Group Holdings Inc., will now do business in North America as PHH Arval, effective immediately. This name reflects PHH’s new relationship with Arval, a European fleet management company. The two companies became part of a joint venture formed in August 2000 between parent companies Avis Group and European banking company BNP Paribas. The alliance is now named PHH Arval in North America, and Arval PHH in Europe, as the joint venture partners share capabilities, marketing, and common information system platforms. The partnership builds on a transatlantic cross-marketing agreement that PHH and Arval had for the previous five years. PHH Arval and Arval PHH together provide a comprehensive array of services for more than 1 million vehicles in 15 countries throughout North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. This new organization extends PHH Arval’s global reach, providing fleet management services on a global basis through local service and centralized data capture on PHH InterActive, the secure, clients-only Internet Web site. PHH Arval clients in North America and Europe will have access to real-time global management information data through PHH’s data warehouse, and handle most of their information management needs via the Internet.
