SPARKS, MD- For the second year in a row, PHH Arval has won the TechForum Best Practices Award, sponsored by the Technology Managers Forum, the professional association for enterprise IT managers. PHH won first place in the Technology Innovation category - this time for PHH Connect(SM), the fleet industry's first mobile application for drivers.
The goal behind PHH Connect is to increase overall driver productivity and satisfaction. Using the mobile app, fleet drivers have immediate access to various PHH services and call centers, including help with accidents, maintenance, service card issues, mileage reporting and other transactions, allowing them to handle important fleet functions as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
Developed by the expert team of technology specialists in the PHH Innovation Center, PHH Connect works on a variety of mobile devices, including BlackBerry®, AndroidTM, Windows Mobile® and Apple® iPhones. The design supports automatic updates to the application as new functionality is added, so drivers don't need to download new versions or install upgrades. The screens were designed to have simple displays that load quickly and display only pertinent information, rather than unnecessary graphics.
Kim Hearn, PHH Arval's chief information officer, said, "We are honored to once again receive this award and be recognized for our commitment to innovation. Fleet drivers who use PHH Connect they tell us it makes their lives easier by letting them transact key fleet business through their mobile devices, rather than having to log in through their computers back in the office. That's our goal - to deliver new technology solutions that help fleets be more productive."
The TechForum's Best Practice Awards is an annual program sponsored by the Technology Managers Forum. The awards recognize quality achievements in technology management that provide a competitive advantage to the business environment. All winners were chosen from nominations from organizations in the United States, Europe and Asia. The Best Practice Awards program is particularly distinguished by the caliber of its judging panel, which features practicing Fortune 1000 technology managers.
