Peugeot Launches Official Operations in Pakistan
European automaker Peugeot has partnered with Lucky Motor Corporation to launch its first operations in Pakistan, which will include establishing local production facilities.

The partnership’s first step will begin with the introduction of the locally built Peugeot 2008 compact SUV. Local production of the full-electric e-2008 is also planned.

Planned construction of state-of-the-art assembly facilities will make Peugeot the first European brand to build in Pakistan. The new production plants will boost employment, localization and local automotive industry in Pakistan and enhance Peugeot’s internationalization efforts, according to Peugeot.
The partnership’s first step will begin with the introduction of the locally built Peugeot 2008 compact SUV. Local production of the full-electric e-2008 is also planned.
Peugeot and Lucky Motors have already collaborated on opening of eight dealerships in six cities: Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Gujranwala.
“Internationalization is a key focus for Peugeot, with the B and C segment SUV growth in Pakistan representing a great opportunity for us,” said Linda Jackson, Peugeot CEO. “We are delighted with this partnership and we are excited to work with Lucky Motors to support employment, localization, and the local automotive industry in the country.”
Established in 2016, Pakistani automaker is a subsidiary of the Yunus Brothers Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Pakistan.
