NAFA launched its first-ever 2020 Virtual Institute & Expo on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, which is hosted on its all-new digital conference platform that offers a wide array of capabilities that function as digital alternatives to what the expo has offered in the past, including many networking opportunities.

The digital platform is highlighted by its auditorium/agenda section, which serves as the location where attendees can view the I&E's entire list of current and upcoming sessions, on-demand videos, and other important announcements. This is where attendees can navigate its more than 25 sessions.

On the networking side, NAFA’s new digital platform has provided several outlets that allow attendees to connect with industry peers digitally. This includes designated Zoom Social Hours, the first of which will be a “Communities Social Hour” on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m and 7 p.m. EST, which will divided into several different fleet segments: corporate, government, law enforcement, university, university/education, and utility/telecom. The following day, Wednesday, Sept. 16, there will be region-based Zoom meetings, also held at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. EST.

Available everyday is also an available chat bar where attendees can easily find available guests who they can send messages to, as well as expo hall, which functions as the event’s exhibitor directory, providing an extensive look at the Association’s line of partners.

NAFA’s digital lobby also offers a glance at some of the sponsors for the Virtual I&E, and an available “Booth” section can help connect attendees to industry partners and vendors for their specific needs. A CAFM Center is also open and recognizes recent CAFM graduates and CAFS certificants.

A highlight of the digital platform is the “Campus Map,” which offers a broad overview of all the features available on the platform in one consolidated space, and the "NAFA Library" gathers all of the event's important documents and videos in a centralized location.
