Nissan Australia has confirmed that it will keep its casting and parts factory in Dandenong South open "well beyond 2020," according to a report, which you can view here.
The announcement was made after Nissan Australia secured a deal to continue manufacturing parts for the Nissan LEAF and 38 other models sold internationally. The Nissan factory has been running around the clock, three shifts, seven days a week for the past six months. It exports components to Japan, the U.S., the UK, Thailand, Mexico, and South Korea, according to the report.
