The Nissan Frontier underwent extensive testing to ensure its suitability for several fleet markets in South America.

The research and study of the Frontier focused on fleet customers in the mining, oil, forestry, and agriculture sectors for several countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru, according to the automaker. The studies also focused on utilization by consumers.

Due to conditions of extreme use in sectors such as mining and agriculture, adjustments to the Frontier were made to ensure the best quality, based on driving conditions influenced by factors such as terrain and climate, according to the automaker. More than 90 tests and dynamic and static validations were made to ensure that the Frontier met the needs of fleets and consumers.

Tests included performance evaluation in several environments and weather conditions, a suspension examination, evaluation of electrical systems, the durability of independent components, and more.

The Nissan Frontier for the South American markets will be produced at the Nissan production plant in Córdoba, Argentina.
