Nissan has assembled its 150,000 vehicle at its plant in Brazil, accomplishing the milestone a little over three years after the plant was established.

The Resende Industrial Complex opened in April 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, and was built to support Nissan’s plan to expand its footprint in Latin America, according to Just Auto. The plant produces the Nissan Kicks, March, and Versa. The Kicks account for 50% of the monthly production at the plant, and are targeted at global markets.

The plant produces units that are exported to markets such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay, according to The Financial. 

Nissan also has a plant in Argentina that will supply Latin America with the Nissan NP300 Frontier in 2018.
