Celebrating its fifth anniversary this month, EV100, the international nonprofit Climate Group’s clean energy initiative, welcomes five new members, who will collectively transition more than 44,000 vehicles to electric by 2030.
New EV100 members include global pharmaceutical and biosciences company Bayer, British-based multinational bank Barclays, international financial services provider Allianz SE, India’s agri-commerce company WayCool, and precision instrumentation supplier Spectris Plc.
In addition to electrifying their fleets, WayCool and Spectris Plc have also committed to install charging infrastructure at their facilities for staff and customer use.

Since its launch in 2017, some 129 businesses have joined the global initiative, putting more than 200,000 EVs on the road. By 2030, EV100 officials expect more than 5.5 million fleet vehicles will be zero emission.
“We warmly welcome our five new members who have made the bold commitment to electrify their fleets and deploy charging infrastructure by 2030,” said Sandra Roling, director of transport, Climate Group. “It’s amazing to think that in just five years EV100 has grown so rapidly. We will continue to push other businesses, vehicle manufacturers and governments across the world to work with us to ensure the future of road transportation is electric.”
With offices in London, New York, New Delhi, Amsterdam and Beijing, the Climate Group was founded in 2003 to help achieve global emissions in half by 2030 to keep the planet’s temperature rises under 1.5C. The group’s network now includes more than 500 multinational businesses in 175 markets worldwide. A Climate Group initiative new EV100+ focuses on zero emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
