VIENNA, VA - The Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) has announced its 2012 Drive Safely Work Week (DSWW) campaign concept with the theme “Get Back to Basics.” This free, online driving safety program is designed for employers to use to help their employees drive safely. Drive Safely Work Week for 2012 is Oct. 1 – 5.
NETS conducted a fleet safety benchmark study called “Strength in Numbers” in 2011 that involved analysis of a collective fleet of 500,000 vehicles and nearly 10 billion miles traveled. Using data from that study, NETS identified safety issues common to fleet drivers and compared them to crash data for the general population, including teen drivers.
