The NAFA Fleet Management Association has become an association partner with Bobit Business Media for the 2019 Global Fleet Conference, taking place from June 4-6 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
As a part of the agreement, NAFA will have access to all of the conference sessions for which speakers have signed releases, enabling the association to offer that content to its members shortly after the conference concludes, according to NAFA. In addition, NAFA will not be holding its annual International Fleet Academy (IFA), which has been a staple of the association’s educational offerings since 2011.
The Global Fleet Conference, a joint venture between Bobit Business Media and Nexus Communication, is designed exclusively for managers of the world’s largest multinational commercial fleets.
“Fleet managers and suppliers have many competing events to choose from when seeking educational content, as well as when choosing which events to support financially,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “NAFA’s agreement with Bobit enables NAFA to provide its members with valuable content – which is our primary objective – while at the same time reducing expenses, obligations, and confusion related to having similar events in the same marketplace. This is for the good for the industry.”
The upcoming conference will include a new half-day deep-dive symposium that will focus on five subject-specific categories impacting global fleets, which will be held June 4, 2019, the official start of the conference in Miami.
“We are very excited to have NAFA join the Global Fleet Conference as a supporting partner,” said Mike Antich, conference chair of the Global Fleet Conference. “The Global Fleet Conference is a global venue for all fleet professional to exchange best practices as evidenced by the strong support given by the Global Fleet Networking Consortium, which is comprised of the five international fleet associations -- Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA), Asociación Méxicana de Arrendadoras de Vehículos (AMAV), the Association of Car Fleet Operations (ACFO) in the UK, the Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA), and China Road Transport Association (CRTA).”
