Mitsubishi HC Capital Acquires MaaS Provider Mobility Mixx
Mobility Mixx provides integrated mobility to users and provides corporate and government clients with advanced expense management and fleet and mobility sharing solutions to manage mobility budgets.

Leasing bikes is one of the mobility solutions offered by Mobility Mixx as part of its MaaS solutions.
Mobility Mixx
Mitsubishi HC Capital has fully acquired Netherlands-based Mobility Mixx, a provider of Mobility as a Service (MaaS).
Already a minority shareholder, Mitsubishi HC Capital - founded following the merger between Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company and Hitachi Capital Corporation - has gained 100% of the shares in the smart mobility provider.
The business will be run by Mitsubishi HC Capital’s Mobility Solutions division as the company seeks to expand its operations throughout Europe with the aim of becoming a leader in car leasing based on a strategy of decarbonization and advanced mobility services to corporate fleets.
Simon Oliphant, CEO, Mobility Solution Business Division commented:
“This further investment in Mobility Mixx (making it a wholly owned subsidiary) supports our strategy of combining multi-modal travel with our traditional vehicle-based services. In this way we can offer customers integrated, flexible, and sustainable mobility. With the shift from total cost of ownership to total cost of mobility and decarbonization, we see excellent growth prospects in this sector.”
Mobility Mixx provides integrated mobility to users. This includes trains, trams, car rental, car sharing, taxis, parking, electric bikes, e-scooters, EV chargers, and fuel stations. It also provides corporate and government clients with advanced expense management and fleet and mobility sharing solutions to manage mobility budgets, along with reward programs to influence travel behavior.
MHC Mobility Europe says such a skillset is crucial to its ambition to offer an expanding range of fleet and corporate services.
It’s a growing area being tapped into by corporations throughout Europe. Consultants McKinsey noted that while MaaS services had stalled during the Covid-19 pandemic, they had begun to rebound thru 2021, but against a rapidly changing background of user preferences, technology and governmental regulation.
A December 2021 report by the MaaS Alliance - a public-private partnership working to establish the foundations for building a common approach to mobility as a service - reported that MaaS was not a one-size-fits-all for corporate mobility programs, which centered round work commuting and mobility related to work requirements.
With Mobility Mixx as part of its corporate customer solutions, MHC Mobility Europe says it now has the capability to build scalable solutions for its customers across both the car leasing and mobility arenas.
