Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Issues Recall

WASHINGTON - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc. is recalling nearly 20,000 MY 2005-2010 FE83D, FE84D, FE85D and FG84D trucks because of an issue involving the air intake duct.

WASHINGTON - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc. is recalling nearly 20,000 MY 2005-2010 FE83D, FE84D, FE85D and FG84D trucks because of an issue involving the air intake duct.

The weather-resistance properties of the air intake duct rubber cushions are insufficient, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. During normal vehicle operation, the rubber cushions can deteriorate and crack, allowing the air intake duct to fall off of the truck. This condition creates a safety risk.

Dealers will replace all of the air intake duct rubber cushions with components meeting proper specifications. The remedy will be performed free of charge.
