Mitsubishi donated two i-MiEV battery-electric hatchbacks and one electric vehicle charging unit to Mongolia's capital city of Ulan Bator.
Government officials including capital city Gov. and Ulan Bator Mayor Bat-Uul Erdene accepted the new battery electric vehicles at a delivery ceremony on Sept. 15.

Ulan Bator made an Economic Partnership Agreement with the Japanese government in July in hopes of putting together initiatives promoting EVs. Mitsubishi’s i-MiEV has a 49-kilowatt electric motor and has a range of 62 miles per charge.
A global survey released by the World Health Organization listed the capital of Mongolia as one of the most polluted cities. Mitsubishi plans to continue to work with Ulan Bator in the future on becoming more sustainable.
