Mitsubishi and Daimler India Shuffle Management
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV), its strategic counterpart under the new Asia Business Model, have announced senior-level changes. The changes are expected to take place in the next few weeks.

Satyakam Arya, currently vice president of Procurement for DICV, will move to MFTBC, Japan, and succeed Patrick Burghardt as Director & Head of Procurement, Daimler Trucks Asia, effective September 1, 2014.
Patrick Burghardt, currently Director & Head of Procurement, Daimler Trucks Asia, will take over the position of head of Network Management Truck Powertrain, Daimler AG.
Burghardt started his professional career at EvoBus GmbH in Mannheim in 2000. After several years as Manufacturing Engineer and Global Project Coordinator, he joined Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation in 2008, building up and leading the Truck Cost Planning department at MFTBC. In 2012, he took over the assignment as Head of Procurement, MFTBC.
Arya has been with DICV since 2009 and has put in place an effective procurement system at DICV, has overseen various rollout projects, and addressed the need of DICV’s business plan requirements efficiently.
Yasuhiko Kondo, currently senior manager of Life Cycle Management and Governance & Operations Management Procurement, MFTBC, will succeed Arya, taking over the role as vice president of Procurement at DICV, also effective September 1, 2014.
Kondo has served in the area of Life Cycle Management and Procurement since 2005 at MFTBC, Japan. With his vast experience at various functional and operational levels will certainly add value to the existing setup and ably manage and support the procurement operations of the company.
Mathew Oommen, currently assistant vice president of Product Engineering, will take over as vice president of Supply Chain Management, DICV, effective August 1.
Oommen has been fully involved in the product engineering and full vehicle integration and was actively involved for medium- and heavy-duty projects from inception at DICV and has made substantial contribution to DICV’s focus on creating trucks for India.
