Merchants Leasing has changed its name to Merchants Fleet Management. The company said this change acknowledges the growth of its organization in not only the fleets the company manages but also the breadth and depth of its service offerings.
“It's an exciting time to be with Merchants both as a customer and employee,” said Tom Coffey, VP of sales and marketing for the company. “In the last year we have experienced double digit growth while in just the last several months we have seen millions of dollars in infrastructure investment come on-line in the form of significant customer facing technology.”
Merchants said it has grown to be one of the nation's top 10 leasing companies. Still an independent, family-owned operation, active owners and brothers, Gary, Robert, Jeffery, and brother-in-law Michael, continue to develop the business their parents started more than 50 years ago.
“We are very excited about the name change as it reflects our commitment to meet and exceed the long term and expanding needs of our customers,” said company CEO Glen Villano. “Merchants Fleet Management aligns nicely with our mission of being the preferred fleet management partner for those customers that value a customized approach with a full array of products delivered with world class customer service.”
