Merchants Fleet Management has promoted Jeff Thomas to director of sales for the West Region, the fleet management company has announced.
Thomas takes on a role managing eight regional sales managers covering 27 Western states. He leaves his existing role at a Dallas-based regional sales manager.

Thomas joined Merchants in 2012 after 15 years with GE Capital in numerous sales and management roles. He has been building up the company's fleet business in Texas the the surrounding states in the past three years.
"Jeff has absolutely knocked the ball out of the park for us in the Southwest," said Tom Coffey, vice president of sales and marketing. "He has been outstanding at everything he has touched for Merchants, building customized fleet management and service solutions for his customers that best fit their specific needs and budget."
