Merchants Fleet has hired Jason Jones as its director of analytics and data management, the fleet management company has announced.

Jones will help the company expand its data capabilities through "building business partnerships, executing data management best practices, and developing innovative technology solutions," according to Merchants Fleet.

"As our company continues to offer more data-rich technologies to help our clients manage and optimize their vehicles, we must continue to invest in our data capabilities," said Jeanine Charlton, senior vice president and chief technology and digital officer. "Managing and using data strategically is critically important to our business, and we are excited to have Jason as part of our team to assist in this area."

Prior to joining Merchants Fleet, Jones was director of analytics at Kellogg Co. He was also director of information management and business intelligence practice for the Hackett Group, a property-based consulting firm.

Jones brings more than 10 years of experience in technology, data strategy, and analytics experience to the role. He will report to Charlton.
