Kurt Taylor, Merchants Fleet
Merchants Fleet's Kurt Taylor has been named a Ones to Watch winner by IDG's CIO and the CIO Executive Council, the fleet management company announced.
Taylor, information technology director of the TotalView software platform, was recognized for his extensive track record of leading large teams to deliver technology solutions for major companies as well as advancing the fleet management company's software.
Taylor played a critical role in transitioning Merchants Fleet's technology team from a waterfall method of project management to agile. Kurt's team completed the company’s first fully agile project, which resulted in better vehicle ordering functionality for clients in just four months at a fifth of the cost of what previous, similar-sized projects had been historically under the waterfall method, according to the company.
The Ones to Watch awards honor 50 rising stars in IT, recognized by CIOs and senior staff at leading organizations as individuals with the potential to be strategic C-level business technology executives of the future.
Taylor joined Merchants Fleet's Rosemont, Ill., office in August 2018.
