Mercedes me Charge Offers New Tiered Charging Rates
The new system will provide customers access to more than 850 European charging operators – 300,000 charging points – and offer three Mercedes me Charge options: S, M and L.

The new pricing system also eliminates “blocking fees” in Germany; EV owners can charge between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. at public charging points at no additional cost.

The Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle (EV) charging network, Mercedes me Charge, will launch in June a new three-tiered pricing system based on customers’ individual EV charging profiles.
The new system, providing customers access to more than 850 European charging operators – 300,000 charging points – offers three Mercedes me Charge options: S, M and L.
The Charge S option is designed for the occasional EV charger, particularly for customers who charge primarily at their home wall box or workplace and who may want access to the Mercedes me Charge network. Customers pay no fee for this option.
Charge M is tailored to EV owners who charge more frequently on the road and who prefer fixed and predictable charging costs. A basic monthly basic fee of €4.90 allows customers to power their vehicle batteries at all Mercedes me Charge charging points for a fixed per-kilowatt-hour price.
The Charge L option is for customers who charge more frequently on the road and prefer fixed and plannable costs. For a monthly basic fee of €17.90, this price tier provides cheaper charging at fixed prices within the Mercedes me Charge network. In addition, superfast charging at up to 350 kW in the IONITY network is available with Charge L.
The new pricing system also eliminates “blocking fees” in Germany; EV owners can charge between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. at public charging points at no additional cost.
The Charge M and L monthly fees are waived for the first year for purchasers of Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles.
