Cox Automotive Vehicle Solutions (CAVS) has named Lee Fox as its new managing director, effective immediately.
Fox joins the Cox Automotive Europe operation after 17 years with GEFCO, where he was most recently UK 4PL director in charge of all vehicle and material flows for the company’s main customer, Stellantis.
In his new role, Fox will be responsible for the overall operational and financial success of CAVS. This includes Manheim Vehicle Service, Manheim Inspection Services, and Movex.
He reports directly to Pete Bell, Cox Automotive Europe’s chief operating officer, and will also sit on the Cox Automotive European Board.
Bell, commenting on the appointment of Lee Fox, said:
“This is a key appointment for Cox Automotive Europe and Lee’s expertise and experience will be an integral part in helping us achieve our European vision. Lee will focus on ensuring we deliver exceptional service to customers and achieving significant efficiencies by increasing both the scale and breadth of our vehicle solutions capabilities.”
Cox Automotive reports that its vehicle solutions business has grown significantly since its acquisition of C Walton Ltd back in 2020, while Manheim Vehicle Services has recently announced several new contracts, both with VWFS UK—the financial arm of the VW Group in the UK—as well as the Volkswagen Group UK itself as a direct result of its extended vehicle services capabilities.
This is a busy period for Cox Automotive. At the end of January, it launched a new global division called Cox Automotive Mobility with the aim of targeting emerging transport technologies. The company says it will guide the growth of mobility-focused digital and physical services, product development and investments throughout the U.S., U.K., Continental Europe, Canada and Mexico, with further geographic expansion expected in the future.
