WIXOM, MI --- Kiekert, a leading manufacturer of automotive locking systems, has unveiled two innovative latch systems for compact-class vehicles. Kiekert's i-close and i-move products, both currently pending patents, bring technology previously only available on luxury vehicles to the mass market.

Kiekert's i-close (intelligent closing) offers intelligent soft closing without the high production costs typically associated with this popular feature. No longer reserved exclusively for premium cars, i-close automatically and silently closes the vehicle door to the primary position where a dedicated actuator securely fastens it. 

Kiekert's i-move (intelligent movement) also delivers premium vehicle technology to the mass market. With the mere press of a button, the driver can move an open door towards the car to be within easy reach, eliminating physical exertion for children, the elderly and those with limited limb movement. From there, the door can be shut manually or automatically if the vehicle is equipped with Kiekert's i-close system.

These innovative latch systems have all the advantages and qualities of previous luxury latch systems but at a lesser cost, making them more affordable for the mass market.
