John Larson Named GM’s Director of Fleet and Commercial Sales
General Motors Fleet and Commercial Operations (FCO) announced on May 25, 2001 the appointment of John Larson as the director of fleet and commercial sales. Larson, who has served as the director of remarketing and director of finance with Fleet and Commercial Operations, replaces Gary Meteer, who is on special assignment with GM North America as the director of sales improvement initiatives. Previously, Larson was the general director of finance and brands support for the General Motors sales organization. In his new role, Larson will work closely with the FCO field sales organization, dealers and commercial customers. Earlier this year, the responsibility for interfacing with the fleet management companies was given to Bill Gibson, who is now the director of rental and fleet management company sales.
