JB Poindexter & Co (JBPCO) has announced the launch of its new business, EAVX. Leveraging JBPCO’s industry expertise through its nine business units, EAVX partners with the most advanced electric and alternative power chassis producers to design, manufacture, distribute, and service the world’s largest commercial fleets and markets.
“The electric and alternative power vehicle market is expanding rapidly. Coupled with immense pressure and mounting regulatory mandates for commercial vehicle and fleet compliance, we will provide support to both our customers and the electric and alternative fuel industry through this strategic new business offering,” said John Poindexter, CEO and chairman, JBPCO.
EAVX is led by COO and General Manager Mark Hope, former Vice President of engineering and business development at Morgan Olson, and one of the leaders responsible for the launch of its electric step-van prototype unveiled at the NTEA Work Truck Show in 2020. Hope is responsible for the continued development and growth of the company’s strategic partnerships and design, engineering, and consulting services, allowing EAVX to identify and produce suitable EV/AV technologies for integration with JBPCO truck bodies and accessories. This has also allowed EAVX to develop test prototypes and manufacture advanced chassis design projects on behalf of its fleet customers and partners.
