Global business mobility provider Alphabet provided a French home improvement and gardening retailer with 76 Renault vehicles for its locations in Spain, some of which are fitted with shared-used technology capabilities.

Some of the Renault Clio Sport Tourer vehicles provided to Leroy Merlin, which specializes in DIY, construction, home decoration, and gardening, are fitted with shared-use vehicle technology, according to Alphabet. The mobility providers AlphaCity technology allows for the use of a company vehicle that can be shared by a company’s employees under specific criteria laid down by the company.

With AlphaCity, companies can offer their employees a shared-use fleet for travel, allowing them to reserve vehicles through a website or app and access the vehicles without a key, according to Alphabet. The service is designed to increase efficiency and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, whilst meeting specific fleet mobility needs.

The Renault Clio Sport Tourer vehicles will be distributed across the country, where each of company's stores will have at least one of the AlphaCity fitted vehicles. These vehicles will allow for the delivery of the new home technical assistance service that Leroy Merlin has recently implemented in Spain.

AlphaCity was an initiative by Alphabet that was intended to provide a complementary solution to traditional leasing agreements for the management of the corporate mobility of our customers.

The delivery of this fleet took place at a ceremony held in the headquarters of Alphabet Spain in Las Rozas, Madrid.
