GM Recalling Silverado HD and Sierra HD Diesel-Engine Trucks
The recall affects 2012-2013 model-year trucks equipped with 6.6L diesel engines and dual fuel tanks, NHTSA reports.

General Motors is recalling 9,733 2012-2013 model-year Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickup trucks that are equipped with 6.6L diesel engines and dual fuel tanks, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.
In these trucks, the transfer pump that moves fuel from the rear tank to the front tank could malfunction, causing the fuel gauge to display an inaccurate reading.
General Motors dealers will inspect and replace the fuel transfer pump, as necessary, free of charge.
Truck owners can reach Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 13420.
