GE Capital Fleet Services Wins Best Practices Award
GE Capital Fleet Services has won The Data Warehousing Institute’s (TDWI) 2000 Best Practices in Data Warehousing Award in the category of “The Warehouse and the Web.” TDWI’s 200 Best Practices in Data Warehousing Awards are presented to practitioners and solution providers that demonstrate innovative, best practice solutions that provide measurable impact on the business success of their organizations. In partnership with MicroStrategy, GE Capital Fleet Services developed a web-based fleet management system that allows its customers the ability to tap into a central data warehouse of fleet vehicle information. Using the system, customers can view/export bills; retrieve personalized, pre-defined reports; create customized queries; receive broadcast reminders, and more. This application will eliminate more than 600,000 pages of mailed invoices and reports to customers each month, thereby providing customers with added productivity to effectively manage their fleets.
