The average price of gasoline remained steady despite a pipeline disruption in the southeastern U.S., according to AAA. The national average remained at $2.21 per gallon. The average per gallon price is 8 cents less year-over-year, according to AAA data.
Pump prices were higher in some states due to the leak in the Colonial Pipeline in Alabama. Line 1 operations have resumed after more than a week of downtime. Affected states have seen the largest weekly increases, including Alabama (8 cents), South Carolina (7 cents), North Carolina (5 cents), and Georgia (3 cents).
